Saturday 5th April 2008:

Wellhouse AFC  0  v  1 Harestanes. 

This was a good performance from Wellhouse AFC as we did not deserve to lose.  One of the best games of the season with both clubs hard at it for the full 90 minutes. There were not too many chances made in the game, however, Harestanes got the break they were looking for in the 20th minute.  The ball came into our area and again we could not clear our lines as Marc McGeough made a great save but no one from Wellhouse AFC was there to follow up and try to clear the ball.  This then opened up the game and there was end to end football played but we couldn't get that vital goal that we needed - we tried hard but it was not to be.  The second half was better for us as we increased our game again and the game seemed to be all Wellhouse.  We had corner after corner and thought our hard work was rewarded when the Harestanes keeper flapped it and we put the ball into the net but the keeper was awarded a foul.

Could not fault any of our Wellhouse players as they gave 100 per cent.
