Saturday 8th September 2007:

The Spartans  5  V  0   Wellhouse AFC. 

This must be one of the worse first half performances ever I have seen.  Within the first 17 minutes played we had by all accounts thrown all 3 points away, Spartans had already scored 4 goals and to make matters worse, just before half time Spartans scored yet another goal to go in at half time with a 5 goal lead.  Second half was a much better performance by Wellhouse, whatever was said at halftime worked, we pulled our socks up and were the better team.  We made at least 7 or 8 chances but could not take them then we.  Wellhouse were also awarded a penalty kick and Ricky stepped up to take it.  Once again our luck was not in as the ball was put by the post. The game finished 5-0 to The Spartans
