Saturday 13th October 2007:

Redbrae  3  V  3  Wellhouse AFC. 

What a game, Wellhouse AFC attacked from kick off.  Frew started the attack with an attempt that hit the bar from 6yards. One min later Wellhouse AFC got a corner and Frew popped up and scored right kick into the top corner of the Redbrae net.  Seconds later Paul Burns through out the ball to Zander who passed it onto Gary, who then beat his man to square the ball to George Scott who scored from 8yards.  This spectacular piece of play had put Wellhouse AFC 2-0 up in 2minutes.  Redbrae however continued to press forward but Wellhouse we awarded a penalty kick when George Scott was bundled of the ball.  George stepped up to take the kick but the Redbrae keeper saved it.  Wellhouse AFC up until now were playing well and our defence was solid until 5 minutes before halftime, Redbrae got a goal back.  The second half was once again full of talking points as Redbrae once again managed to walk through our defence to net a second goal and level the score to 2-2. this was not the end as midway through the second half Wellhouse AFC got a free kick about 19 yards out after Gary was fouled. John Paul Kenna stepped up to take the free kick and beautifully placed it right into the top corner of the Redbrae net, what a goal. Wellhouse AFC could have gone further in front but failed to make it count.  with 10 minutes from time Redbrae got a penalty kick.  Paul managed to get his fingers to the ball but could not keep the ball out!  The score was now 3-3 and a few minutes later we had at least 4 of chances to collect all 3 points, but never took them. The final score stayed 3-3 but Wellhouse AFC were unlucky not to win this game.
