Wellhouse AFC  1  V  4  Drumchapel United.

Not a good result for Wellhouse AFC after the result we had on Saturday. I am afraid we did not show the same commitment as on Saturday. Drumchapel United were to good for us, they went 1 – 0 up with 15 minutes played and scored again just before half time. During the second half our right back James Erskine was injured and had to be substituted. Gary Smith took up right back position and gave away a penalty kick, which Drumchapel United converted to make the score 3-0.  We then made another substitution, bringing on Gary, who within a minute of being on the park scored from an Alan Templeton free kick from just outside the penalty box. Alan fired over a great ball and Gary out jumped the Drumchapel United defence with a bullet of a header right into the back of the net, bringing the score to 3-1. All our hopes of a comeback were killed when another mistake, a bad pass back to our keeper, the power in the pass was too weak and it allowed the Drumchapel United forward to intercept the pass and create their 4th goal.
